Kashagan Field
Kashagan is one of the largest oil and gas fields in the world, located in the northern part of the Caspian Sea, approximately 80 km from Atyrau, Kazakhstan. It was discovered in 2000, when a commercial oil flow was obtained during the testing of the KE-1 exploration well, from the subsalt carbonate reservoirs of the East Kashagan structure. The field’s geological oil reserves are estimated at over 35 billion barrels, with recoverable reserves of approximately 9–13 billion barrels. Kashagan presents challenging development conditions, including high sulfur content, high reservoir pressure and temperature, and harsh climatic conditions. These challenges require the application of advanced technologies, innovative engineering solutions, and highly skilled professionals, making the project both technically demanding and strategically important.

Over the years, KMG Kashagan has accumulated valuable experience and achieved remarkable success in managing projects of international scale.
